BEING INVOLVED

Research has shown that when schools and families work together, children have higher achievement in school and stay in school longer (Growing up in Australia: Longitudinal Study of Australian Children Annual Report 2007-2008).

At St Anthony's we warmly welcome the involvement of families to include parents, carers, grandparents and friends.

There are many ways in which you can become involved as a volunteer. These include:

  • Helping with literacy and numeracy class activities
  • Reading (after attending a school workshop)
  • Excursions
  • Parents & Friends
  • Fete
  • Class Representative
  • Coaching and managing Saturday sports teams
  • Attendance and participation in Liturgies
  • Attendance at assemblies
  • Uniform shop/Uniform Committee
  • Cooking
  • School Board
  • Any other special talents you may have, please let us know
