Curriculum

Quality Teaching = Quality Learning

Our teachers at St Anthony’s are committed to ongoing professional development and learning. Teachers and students work collaboratively to improve student learning outcomes. Technology plays a key role in being a tool for learning and we encourage this to support the learning. Our technology allows children to learn anywhere, anyhow, anyway, anytime.

All teaching and learning at St Anthony's is linked to the Australian curriculum.

Key Learning areas include:

  • Religious Education
  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • History
  • Geography
  • The Arts
  • Health and Physical Education
  • Japanese
  • Music

Assessment for Learning

Our Assessment for learning is both formative and summative. Students are involved in the assessment process.

Learning Philosophy

Our Learning philosophy is built around making learning visible.   In the very important areas of literacy and numeracy teachers make learning explicit so that students know exactly what it is that they need to learn.

Feedback/ Feedforward / Data Collection

Teachers give frequent feedback/ feedforward to help students work at higher levels of achievement. Data helps inform practice, set goals and support future learning. It is shared with students, staff and parents and used for intervention strategies if needed.

Learning

At St Anthony’s we dare the children to wonder, be curious, ask questions and become problem solvers.  This is made visible by engaging in real life learning experiences.

What Technology do you have?
