Extra Curricular

Beyond the Classroom

Here at St Anthony’s, learning doesn’t stop when the bell rings. Our extra curricular programs offer students a wide range of opportunities to discover new passions, build confidence, and connect with others. Whether it’s on the sports field, on stage, or through music and movement, every child is encouraged to get involved, have fun, and grow in their own unique way.

Sport

Saturday Sport

We’re proud to be part of the South West Region sports community, giving students in Years 3–6 the opportunity to participate in Saturday morning competitions, including:

  • Basketball
  • Cricket
  • Netball
  • Soccer

These teams are coached and managed by parents, with guidance and support from our PE teacher. Our focus is on fun, skill-building, and positive team spirit, and all families are asked to follow a simple code of conduct to ensure a respectful and inclusive sporting culture.

Interschool Carnivals

Each year, our students represent the school in a variety of interschool events through the South Australian Catholic Primary Schools Sports Association (SACPSSA), including:

  • Athletics Carnival
  • Swimming Carnival
  • Netball Carnival
  • Touch Football Carnival
  • Cross-Country Championships

We also host and attend specialist sports clinics (e.g. football and tennis), depending on coach availability.

Music & Performing Arts

We offer a vibrant and inclusive music program, with opportunities for students to learn an instrument, perform, and express themselves through the arts.

Instrumental Music Program

Small-group and one-on-one music lessons are available during school hours, with experienced tutors offering:

  • Piano
  • Guitar
  • Violin
  • Drums
  • Voice

Parents liaise directly with tutors for enrolment and payment.
